Two books rec's for all: Tor has published:
Heat of Fusion by John M. Ford, ISBN 0-312-85546-X
A Mike Ford collection of recent short work, strange and quirky and moving. "Winter Solstice, Camelot Station" alone is worth the price of admission.
A Scholar of Magics by Caroline Stevermer. ISBN 0-765-30308-6
Sequel to A College of Magics, although it also works as a stand-alone. Wonderful. I think I was altogether enchanted by its protagonist by about, oh, page 3.
Both hardcovers. Scholar has cover art by David Bowers, who painted the wonderful cover for Paladin of Souls.
Neither of these are likely to appear spontaneously in large stacks in your bookstores; you will have to hunt them down and wrest them from the system.

This year's Hugo ballot is now up on the Worldcon website:
noreascon.org/pubs/press-release18.html
This would be my 8th nomination in the best novel category (I had to look up the list and count), out of 17 published novels. Consistency is a virtue, they say... :-)
