I'll be tootling out of here shortly, but just a reminder, I'm doing one last booksigning for The Hallowed Hunt at Flights of Fantasy bookstore in Albany, (technically, Loudinville) NY next Wednesday, July 6th, at 7 PM. Do pass the word on to any Bujold fans you may know in the greater area, especially ones not on the lists.
www.fof.net for store information. Great folks.

So...
I was attributing the peculiar pong in my kitchen to failure to turf out the garbage, when I opened my undersink cupboard at bedtime last night to get the dishwashing detergent and I realized I'd baited that mousetrap a week or two back. And hadn't checked it since. The victim was, um, partially liquified. He went over the back deck to join his many cousins -- good mouse trap, all you have to do is press it open and the results fall out, but it does lead to a sort of mouse-flinging. ("Fly away! Fly far away! Ick, ick!")
Which is why I spent this morning under the sink, pulling everything out and washing it all down with bleach water. It's much better now, but still needs to air.
So if anyone wants to know, Learned Hallana's relationship with mice is indeed based on my own.

Hiya --
Blackstone Audio has picked up audio rights to two more backlist Vorkosigan books, Cetaganda and Brothers in Arms. I've talked on the phone a couple of times with the narrator about pronunciations. He says he's been enjoying the books. (My literary agent is a big fan of this narrator, so she's very happy too.) The Vor Game is now out, listed on Blackstone's front webpage as a hot new release, yay! I really like what they did for the cover.

Note that there is a retail (lower priced) edition for this title!
www.blackstoneaudio.com/search.cfm?x=9&y=7&search=bujold
for the whole Bujold menu so far.
(The other ones coming up in the queue are Warrior's Apprentice, Memory, Komarr, A Civil Campaign, and Diplomatic Immunity.)
